Friendship is a gift that is fair in all things. It roots from one's heart and involves memories that stay not for a while but for a lifetime. Thank you for touching my life in ways you may never know. My riches do not lie in material wealth but in having friends like you - a precious gift from God. I don't regret the things I have done and the things I didn't do. For somewhere along the way I must have done something right coz I ended up with a friend like you.

I may have forgotten to say that I care. I may have failed to open up and share, but though no words have been spoken, my promise of friendship won't be broken. A friend is a push when you have stopped, a chat when you are lonely, a guide when you are searching, a smile when you are sad, a song when you are glad. . How long shall we be friends? Do you want a clue? As long as stars twinkle in the sky, till the water runs dry and till the day I die. We will be friends. I won't promise to be your friend forever, coz I won't live that long. But let me be your friend as long as I live.

THE WINNERS GETTING THEIR MEDALS ON IST DECEMBER 2013

We celebrate International AIDS day every 1st December, we do community work, eat together , speak and teach our children on how they can control HIV and play a friendly match.
As a way of monitoring , strengthening, motivating and encouraging Youth , RASYN came out with an academy to bring the youth together so that their can have no time to commit evil.
RASYN has encouraged youth to  Abstain  from sex means. Abstinence is 100% effective in preventing HIV and other STDs. 

We believe HIV can be prevented through abstinence, and by limiting the use of substances (i.e. alcohol and other non-injecting drugs) that impair judgment.
"There are a couple of ways that drug and alcohol use can increase a person’s risk of HIV infection. One way is that using drugs and alcohol can reduce inhibitions and possibly increase the chance of one engaging in risky behaviors that can increase the risk of HIV exposure, such as unprotected sex".Said  the Guest of honour Mr. Andre.

Orphans and youths are supported with scholastic materials and basic needs, sponsored and those who dropped out of schools s. The Vision bearer of RASYN started providing fees, scholastic materials and basic needs to the orphans and youths while she was in secondary school. She started using her pocket money to at least buy a book and a pen to 3 children and pay fees of 1000/= to one orphan every term. While at Makerere University she used her pocket money to pay fees for 3 orphans in secondary school and she kept with this heart until she finished her studies in 2010 and got a job in 2011.

The vision Bearer is now Sponsoring 10 orphans from her monthly earning, and provides scholastic materials and basic needs to 20 orphans the vision Bearer lobbied for support from Friends and family members.  Her best friend is now paying fees of four orphans and my sister to pays fees for 2 orphans and provides basic needs for 5 orphans.

RASYN Won the trophy after beating Kijugo 1:0 on independence day on 9th/October 2013.

This was the message the Director of RASYN  said to the team.
"RASYN the moment you are ready to QUIT,is usually the moment of your BREAKTHROUGH!!!!Do not give up. thy says the Lord God". 

"WE SHALL NEVER GIVE UP AS YOUTH OF RASYN, WE SHALL FIGHT THE SPREAD OF HIV THROUGH ABSTINENCE, WE SHALL STUDY AND EXCEL, WE SHALL PLAY PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL AND WIN TROPHIES AND WE SHALL SERVE THE ALMIGHTY GOD OF ISRAEL IN JESUS NAME".Said the Guest of honour Andre Van Zyl.
As RASYN we are here to make a chnage in the lives of the youth and this is what we are doing.
Speaking without action is a bad. Telling a youth to abstain from SEX and evil things  without solving the problem that forces Him /her into sex is like writing on water .RASYN is using both words and actions to see a better and happy youth and orphan. Youths need training, knowledge and  skills in entrepreneurship and  developmental ideas , they need to be supported with fees and scholastic materials so that they will not look for money from men and women through sex and this shall  go hand in hand with abstinence hence reduction of HIV/AIDS Spread.

My name is Joy Karungi 9 years and I am a member of Rwenzori Abstinence and scripture union youth network and am so proud to be part of this ministry and my life has never remained the same again. This ministry has blessed me,changed me, educated me and given me the love that an orphans needs

."We were hosted on VOICE OF Toro radio station on 19th/October 2013 and i was a preacher of the day, my message was from Psalms 111:10 the THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM'' 

Many people were blessed and i received 3 gifts from the listeners, they called in and told me that they have been so blessed, challenged and impressed, they wanted their children to join our ministry and they prophesied to me that i will be a powerful pastor in the kingdom of God. Wow God Continue using us, be with us and continue opening Doors for our ministry to expand so that we can frustrate the devil in Jesus name.SO PROUD TO BE PART OF RASYN AM NEVER THE SAME AGAIN.

RASYN ACADEMY WINS A TROPHY ON 19TH OCTOBER 2013

As RASYN members we are patient and waiting for God’s timing, He is ready to give us our desires of our hearts. To us Life is easy because we depend on God and His leading. We Pray for God to lead us where He wants us to be-even if that means embracing change.

We shall NOT GIVE UP OUR story is soon going to be the next IN JESUS NAME. Our God is not a random God. He is a precise God. He has lined up solutions for OUR down to the very second. Thank u Jesus. 

As RASYN academy  we  played a lovely game  on Independence day  and  RASYN Won 1:0 on independence day and got a lovely trophy.  

 "We had fun on independence and RASYN played a lovely game and we believe to wonderful professional footballers that will represent Uganda in future games".Said Boss the captain ."We dedicate this trophy to Jesus who has made this possible for us to win this trophy and we believe to win more and more trophies in Jesus name." When God restores, He doesn't bring you out the same. He pays you back for everything you've lost. Sometimes people say to me, “Oh, I wish I had the kind of ministry you have, Joyce” Well, I did not get it by wishing. These people didn't see when I was feeling I couldn't hold on one more second, begging God to help me to not quit or give up. They don’t know the tests and trials I’ve faced along the way. No one who does anything worthwhile for God has traveled an easy road. Doing great things for God requires character, and character is developed by passing life’s tests and staying faithful to Him through the trials. We shall be there RASYN TRUST our help comes from God. ONE LOVE RASYN.

The best and only method that guarantees 100% against AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases is to wait for marriage to have sex and maintain fidelity in your marriage .Sex is a powerful force that can destroy if not used properly. Like atomic power, sex is the most powerful creative force given to man. When atomic power is used correctly it can create boundless energy; when it is used in the wrong way it destroys life. 

Sex is the same kind of powerful force. Sex is a gift from God to give us the greatest pleasure, to help in creating a deep companionship with one's spouse and for procreation of the next generation. But if you play with this powerful force outside the bounds of marriage, it destroys you and those close to you.

RASYN SOCCER ACADEMY IN KYENJOJO

RASYN as a way of improving and developing the talents of the youth  has started an academy of football. And both male and female  youth are part of the soccer academy.So far 50 members have joined and we have had 5 interesting matches where RASYN team won 3 and drew 2.

We are having a powerful game on 9th October and we believe to win this match. RASYN started this academy in July 2013 as a way to help youth to develop their talents, keep them busy so that they are not involved in evil acts like sexual relationships, stealing, drug taking, alcoholism and other evils things that are against the law.
We are proud that our youth are not longer idol and committing evil , the prison cells are no  longer full of criminals because of what RASYN has done in this village.'' Said the LCI of Myeri , Kyenjojo District.

WHAT IS SOCCER? 

Soccer – or football as it’s also called – is the most popular sport in the world and is played in most countries. It is a team sport, involving 11 players on each side who use their legs, head and torso to pass a ball and score goals. The nature of the game means that players may be sprinting, running fast or slow, and sometimes may be standing around.

As play during soccer is continuous, soccer is great for fitness and cardiovascular health. People of various ages and skill levels can participate in soccer, with individuals of various sizes being able to do equally well. Soccer can also be a great sport for kids who may not have high levels of athletic ability, but who would like to participate in team sports.

Why RA SYN started the soccer academy ?

Soccer can be a great workout and lots of fun. The health benefits include:

• Increases aerobic capacity and cardiovascular health
• Lowers body fat and improves muscle tone
• Builds strength, flexibility and endurance
• Increases muscle and bone strength
• Improved health due to shifts between walking, running and sprinting.

There are many other benefits from playing a team sport like soccer. For example it:

• Is generally a non-contact sport
• Teaches coordination
• Promotes teamwork and sharing
• Teaches you to think on-the-go
• Helps to increase skills in concentration, persistence and self-discipline
• Is a great way to meet people and exercise with friends
• Can provide an opportunity to increase your confidence and self-esteem, and help to reduce anxiety
• Requires very little equipment so can be played in the backyard or park
• Is relatively easy to learn, so beginners can easily join in on the fun and play basic soccer for recreation
• Is an international sport.

When you abstain from Sex, there is a bigger possibility of not getting a sexually transmitted disease, get pregnant for the girls and the boys will be free from problems of being arrested. Even when they abstain from alcohol and abusive /addictive drugs they can have a sound mind of making right decisions when any problem arises, they can say no to sex and rape when they have a clear and sound mind that is free from Abusive drugs and alcohol. For students, they need to abstain from sex, alcohol and abusive drugs in order to concentrate in their studies.

Sexual activity for young people arrests their psychological, social and academic development. Studies show that when young people engage in premarital sex, their academic performance declines and their social relationships with family and friends deteriorate. This is because adolescents are too immature to deal with the explosive sex drive and it tends to dominate their life.

As RASYN we bring awareness by sharing information, ideas and experiences with the rural students and youth in different rural schools (Primary, Secondary, Universities and Churches) in the Rwenzori Region.

Rural Primary, Secondary and University students have less access to relevant information about abstinence from sex, excessive alcohol and abusive/addictive drug and other information related to abusive relationships, early marriages and school drop outs. RASYN has tried to do the needful to inform the youth all the community.

AGRICULTURE PROJECT

RASYN is planning to start agriculture and farming so that the money we generate from the agriculture project will support the youth. The project will soon kick off and we believe God to provide''It does not matter because when God orders even the devil obey''.Said Alinda Noella  the little one of RASYN.

VIRGINITY IS STILL VERY IMPORTANT

RASYN young ones live on Voice  of Tooro encouraged the young children that virginity is the best until marriage. ''We encourage our member to keep their bodies pure and wait until they are married''Said Joanna Abwooli coordinator of RASYN in Kyenjojo district.
Virginity is to be given to the most important person in your life, the person you committed yourself to stay with forever in marriage. ''Your virginity is the most precious thing you have to give to your spouse. Once you lose it, nothing in the world can bring it back. Don't lose something so precious in a thoughtless way''said Amanya Sheila  leader of RASYN

During the  discussion on voice  of Tooro the callers expressed that Those who engage in premarital sex run a high risk of contracting one of the many venereal diseases rampant today, as well as losing their fertility. Not just AIDS, but other common disfiguring diseases like herpes have no cure.

More commented during the teens program that Some venereal diseases have no symptoms and many couples discover many years later that they became infertile because of these diseases. Infertility experts estimate that 80% of today's infertility is due to venereal diseases contracted before they married.

MEMBERS OF RASYN ON VOICE OF TOORO ENCOURAGING  YOUNG ONE TO WAIT FOR SEX AND VIRGINITY IS THE BEST. 
According to the  nurses many commented during the teens program on Voice of that If you date and you don't have sex, you can forget about that relationship when you stop dating.But if you have sex with those you date and then break up, the nature of sexual involvement creates strong, often unpleasant memories for your whole life.Every relationship you break up where you had intimate relations is like a mini-divorce. The psychological difficulties of these mini-divorces does damage to your character. Later, when you are married and go to bed with your beloved spouse, these unpleasant memories will accompany you.
