Rwenzori abstinence and scripture union youth network has encouraged
youth and students to abstain from sex ,taking of Alcohol ,Addictive drugs ,
Watching pornography, stealing , fighting , lies and all the evils. Abstinence
from Sex is the best way to fight HIV/AIDS.
When you abstain from Sex, there is a bigger possibility of not
getting a sexually transmitted disease, get pregnant for the girls and the boys
will be free from problems of being arrested. Even when they abstain from
alcohol and abusive /addictive drugs they can have a sound mind of making right
decisions when any problem arises, they can say no to sex and rape when they
have a clear and sound mind that is free from Abusive drugs and alcohol. For
students, they need to abstain from sex, alcohol and abusive drugs in order to
concentrate in their studies.
As RASYN we bring awareness by sharing information, ideas and
experiences with the rural students and youth in different rural schools
(Primary, Secondary, Universities and Churches) in the Rwenzori Region.
Rural Primary, Secondary and University students have less
access to relevant information about abstinence from sex, excessive alcohol and
abusive/addictive drug and other information related to abusive relationships,
early marriages and school drop outs. RASYN has tried to do the needful to
inform the youth all the community.
