VISION BEARER

RASYN SOCCER ACADEMY UNDER 14
Sheila Amanya 27 years from Western Uganda grew up watching her Mother, work   with people sick of  HIV  who were women and Children and the victims were so slim, with big head and big eyes which scared me so much.

My Mother would often come home late, Tired with broken heart and send us to the homes of the patients to take them Milk and food.  As Sheila I was moved to take action when I witnessed children’s confidence soar from this simple act of kindness.

I was determined to find a way to include Youth and Children with and without HIV in abstinence and scripture union clubs and finally I started RASYN in 2013.  The vision is to inform and share knowledge about Abstinence as the best way to control HIV/AIDS, empower Youth and children with word of God and equip them with Entrepreneurial skills, economic skills and physical support. Now we have over 200 youth and children in the two clubs and we try to support orphans with the little we have.

As a vision Bearer I take care of over 30 children, I feed them, educate them, and buy them clothes, rent for them house where they stay and Am a mother to them.
Am doing this because God I was raised    me up from grass to grace, I hate seeing orphans, HIV positive children and any youth suffer and being discriminated.

Youth need training, knowledge and in entrepreneur skills and other developmental skills, they need to be supported with fees and scholastic materials so that they will not look for money from men and women through sex and this can go hand in hand with abstinence.
When youth have money to support themselves and have something to make them busy they can easily forget sex issues and concentrate on developmental and economic issues hence reduction on the spread of HIV/AIDS. The spread of HIV/AIDS is 30% in the district of Kabarole .According to the published  on  Jun 23, 2012 http://www.newvision.co.ug/article/fullstory Kabarole district secretary for health and education Joshua Kagaba  said that the HIV prevalence among secondary schools in Kabarole district currently stands at 30%.Kagaba told the New Vision on Thursday morning that a study by the district with the help of other Non-Governmental Organization shows that of every 1000 students at least over 250 are HIV positive. This is a big problem that needs serious attentions by everyone.
So I have set an example as a young woman and God is giving me victory day and night. Thank u everyone for supporting this Vision
