RWENZORI ABSTINENCE AND SCRIPTURE UNION YOUTH NETWORK PREPARING FOR THE RADIO PROGRAM.


Five members of RASYN will be hosted on local radio FM station (BETTER FM) on 4th/ May 2013 to represent other member to motivate, encourage and mentor youth to abstain from Sex and evil. A meeting was held on 1st may to prepare the youth who will represent others on Radio. The FIVE are happy and proud to represent others on radio to share their experience with youth in western Uganda. The five are members of RASYN selected from different schools, like Nyakasura School, Fort-Portal S.S, Mpanga S.S and Kamengo secondary school. Kindly switch on BETTER FM on Saturday from 10: am-12pm and listen to this program.

FM radio fits well with the lifestyle of many people in Uganda and becomes a “hub” for converging all other sources/tools of information access for improved health. It is a popular media channel because it does not require electricity, and because people can listen to the radio while they work or walk. By broadcasting in local languages, radio goes a long way in addressing the information needs of the Youth
